65% lower download and 90% lower upload speed compared to the advertised "highest speed' figures. Can't say they are lying, though, since they never mention a minimum speed--they just take advantage of human weakness :)

I have used Bellsouth for 3 years now, and in general, I am happy with the service. I would describe the service as reliable, but sometimes slower than I would like. I subscribe to the 6mbps plan which is the fastest speed offered in my area.
